Prompts to Presents Workshop
FOR EDUCATORS
Learn a generative 3D design workflow that turns ideas into a tangible objectâeven without design experience.
Sunday, December 7, 2025 | 1â4 PM
BitSpace, 2541 W Lawrence Ave
Chicago, IL 60625
*This session is designed to give teachers direct hands-on experience with the same creative tools students will be using in the coming years.

Imagine it. Build it.
Bring it back to your classroom.
Your students have ideas every day. This session lets you take home a clear workflow that helps them turn those ideas into real, tangible objects.
Youâll learn how text-to-image tools, basic 3D modeling techniques, and standard 3D printing software work together in a simple, classroom-ready process.
Itâs also a chance to enjoy a creative recharge on a Sunday afternoon.
Throughout the session, youâll try the tools, see what the process feels like, and spark new ideas for how this approach can support:
⢠project-based learning
⢠STEM/STEAM exploration
⢠visual arts and design integration
⢠cross-disciplinary creative problem-solving
And youâll finish the session with a real 3D-printed object you designed yourself â a tangible example for your classroom and a small personal memento you can keep or gift.
The Creative Journey
Design thinking fundamentals
Before you jump into any software, youâll spend some time planning your ideaâwhat it is, what it does, and who itâs for. The challenge is to create something functional, not just something that looks nice on screen.
Text-to-image AI generation
Hereâs where your idea starts taking shape. Youâll use generative AI tools to turn written prompts into concept images that visualize whatâs in your head. Itâs the first time youâll see your idea come to life on screen.
Image-to-3D mesh conversion
Next, youâll take those concept images and convert them into 3D models. This step bridges imagination and realityâtransforming something flat into a digital object that can exist in three dimensions.
Blender basics
Youâll refine and personalize your 3D model using Blender, a professional-grade (but free) design tool. This is where proportions, scale, and details get adjusted to make your design ready for printing.
3D printing prep
Finally, youâll prepare your finished model for printing. Youâll learn how to optimize and export files to turn your design into a real, physical object.
For Educators
Teachers who want to explore creative ways to bring STEM or design concepts to life in the classroom. This workshop opens the door to new possibilitiesâshowing how the latest tools can simplify complex ideas and inspire students to create meaningful projects with less setup and planning time for teachers.

Frequently Asked Questions
No, you don’t. Our workshop is designed to take you from beginner to expert. We start with the basics and gradually introduce more complex concepts. By the end of the workshop, you’ll be comfortable with the entire 3D printing process.
AI can help simplify the design process, predict potential issues, and optimize your designs for the best possible results. In our workshop, we’ll show you how to effectively use AI to enhance your 3D printing projects.
While having a 3D printer can enhance your learning experience, it’s not a requirement for our program. We’ll teach you the skills and knowledge you need to create 3D printable designs, which you can then print at a local makerspace or 3D printing service.
Youâll leave with new skills for turning your ideas into reality using free, accessible tools â and later, your finished functional piece, ready for pickup once itâs printed.
No, you won’t. We use free, accessible tools so you can keep creating after the workshop.
