Make It, Robots!

This course is designed to support you in setting up a Robots! enrichment program using our supplied kits. Each chapter presents a new aspect of using Arduino hardware and software, and assumes you have a basic knowledge of electronic circuits. For some background understanding of circuits, consider taking Electronics 101.

The lessons and information within this sequence can be presented to students in person, remotely, or in a blended manner. Please be advised that online learning and presenting takes more time and specificity. We have accounted for that specificity with detailed images, drawings, and instructions. In the event you are teaching in person, you may find that you are able to move through the content quicker. If that is that case, congratulations! You will have additional time for students to pursue multiple projects at the end of the course.

Course Description:

  • This course is for anyone interested in using electronics, design thinking, and maker education practices in the classroom, library, after school, or club setting–either remotely or in person. The course includes guided instruction as well as project ideas for students to create a programmable robot. This course comes with a complete kit of materials for student use. These materials are listed within the course and will be referred to in the lessons.
